Lady Gaga and her fiancé, entrepreneur Michael Polansky, have reportedly named their newborn daughter Rose Bean Polansky, with the baby’s first name inspired by a song closely connected to the pop superstar’s career.

According to a birth certificate published by TMZ, Rose Bean Polansky was born at 11:19 p.m. on June 9 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

A source told People that the name Rose was inspired by “La Vie En Rose,” the classic song made famous by French singer Édith Piaf. Lady Gaga performed her own version of the song in the 2018 Oscar-nominated movie “A Star Is Born,” in which she starred alongside Bradley Cooper.

The choice gives the baby’s name a special connection to one of the most memorable projects of Gaga’s acting and music career.

The meaning behind Rose’s middle name may also have a personal connection. According to the source, Bean could be a tribute to activist Carl Bean, whose work helped inspire Gaga’s hit anthem “Born This Way.”
